MINUTES OF AMERICAN LEGION RIDERS

Meeting Date: August 18, 2022
A regular meeting of the American Legion Riders was held at the American Legion Post 36,
Jersey Shore, PA on July 21, 2022. The meeting convened at 7:00 pm with the Pledge of
Allegiance and roll call of officers, with 5 officers and 13 members in attendance.

Secretary’s Report:
Read and approved, 1st- Shawn, 2nd - Willi

Guests:
Vicki and Wade from Heroes and Horse, they are ready for the ride. The Chinese auction
is ready. They are planning on having baked beans, pasta salad, and potato salad. They have a
cook and servers. All stops are covered, and they all know we are coming so they should be
ready for us. The horse should be here by 10. Registration is 9:30-11:30; be at the legion to set
up at 8:30. They auxiliary will be providing muffins, Danishes, and coffee for a nominal fee.

Outstanding Bills against the Chapter:
Steve Fisher $157.99.

Membership Report:
We have 52 paid members.

Correspondence:
A thank you card from the South Williamsport scholarship recipient and a
thank you from the Jersey Shore recipient. A thank you from Bart and Connie Howard. A letter
from Santa Hut in Jersey Shore looking for donations for decorations and presents for local
children. Motion made to donate $500 1st - Steve S, 2nd - Jeremy

Old Business:
Thank you to all who made it to the golf tournament. The ride details have been
finalized with a stop at Hyner Lodge. Don is on board with the stop.

Committee Reports

Fundraising:
Golf tournament for next year is set for June 16. Start thinking about what we want
to see on the next gun raffle and how much we are allowing to spend. Steve S. will look at Bald
Birds for the Bingo for in the spring (March), and see what dates are available. Nadine will be
setting up the Pampered Chef party for January.

Activities:
The 9-11 ride is on a Sunday. Watch for meeting times for anyone going.

Scholarship:
None.

Merchandise:
Addies will do a design for us based on what Rose has given them. Rose will get
more information for the next meeting.

Public Relations:
None

Rides/Fun Rides:
September 17 is a ride for Toys for Tots by HOGG. Leaving from Horsepower
Harley with registration from 9-11.

New Business:
Veterans Day breakfast is free to veterans every year. Veterans are given a gift
bag and one item is a hat. Joan’s son, Michael, purchases the hats for the legion. Motion made to
donate $100 for the purchase with all in favor.

MINUTES OF AMERICAN LEGION RIDERS
Meeting Date: July 21, 2022
A regular meeting of the American Legion Riders was held at the American Legion Post 36,
Jersey Shore, PA on July 21, 2022. The meeting convened at 7:00 pm with the Pledge of
Allegiance and roll call of officers, with 7 officers and 16 members in attendance.
Secretary’s Report:
Read and approved, 1st Shawn, 2nd Lisa

Guests:
Vicki, Wade, and Ella from Heroes and Horses. They had an unveiling this past Saturday
at the new property. They are ready for the ride. Wade will lead the ride with 1 horse. Ella will
be doing the Chinese auction. She has contacted Harley dealerships for donations and there are
some small shops who are making donations. They will have people covering the stops and
preparing the food. The ride will leave here and go to the 40&8, the Renovo Legion, and the
Mountain Top, approximately 87 miles. We are doing dogs and burgers, preparing for 150
people. Purchase will be 8 x 5-pound packs of burger and dogs making 40 pounds of each. Della
will take care of the buns. Steve and Nadine will pick up the meats. Registration is 9:30-11:30;
be at the legion to set up at 8:30.

Della for the purchase of candy for the parade of 104.18.
DL purchased a canvas of photos of Glenn to present to Lisa. Steve and Laurie for rider patches
$327.75. Rose for purchase of koozies for the golf tournament. Motion made to pay all bills

Membership Report:
We have 51 paid members. One new applicant: William Scott Grow. All
were in favor of accepting him. We now have 52 members.

Correspondence:
A thank you card from Dusty Wool and Jamie for our participation in the
fundraiser for their niece. A thank you from Hollidaysburg Veteran Home for a donation made.
A thank you from Troy Legion Riders for the hole sponsorship. A thank you from Bouldercrest
for a donation made. PA Wounded Warriors are having a gala – dress for cocktails- September
24 if anyone is interested in participating.

Old Business:
Wade suggested we attempt to make a stop at Hyner Lodge during our ride. DL
presented Lisa with a canvas collage of Glenn and Lisa.

Committee Reports
Fundraising:
Golf tournament has 17, possibly 19 teams. Meet at the golf course at 7:30. West
Company has a promise to make hole sponsorship and 2 teams although we have not received
the money yet- motion to allow on a promissory note 1st Bob S, 2nd Rose
 Next year we will
look at getting better signs that can be re-used for the organizations who consistently sponsor.

Activities:
The parade on July 7th went well

Public Relations:
None

Rides/Fun Rides:
Wounded Warrior ride is Saturday at Hughesville, meet at the legion at 9:30 if
you are going along.
July 31 is a ride to Lee’s Landing- leave here at 7:40.
Heroes and Horses pre-ride is August 7, meet at 11:45. The next pre-ride is August 17.

New Business:
Swearing in of all new officers will be at the Post meeting on August 9 at 7 PM.

Veteran in Need:

For the Good of the Order:
JSSB offered us an option of interest-bearing checking account with
no changes to account number, all are in favor of switching to this. We need deposit slips. We
also need the convenience of a debit card for after hour deposits and purchases such as for the
Bingo. Motion to order them and get a debit card 1st Della, 2nd Steve S

Allegiance and roll call of officers, with 6 officers and 16 members in attendance.
Secretary’s Report:
Read and approved with the correction that we will be using Neil’s truck.

Treasurer’s Report:
Not available for the meeting.
Outstanding Bills against the Chapter:
DL paid for a Flicker.com account for photos for our web
page. It used to be free, but they now charged $76.31. Motion made to reimburse him 1st
Steve, 2nd Gary.
 Bart and Connie bought Abe Howard patches for us. We will get the invoice to
reimburse them for the cost, 1st Rose, 2nd Laurie
 Ye Old Print Shop for Golf papers totaling
$33.40. Motion made to pay, 1st Lisa, 2nd Gary
 Steve and Laurie have paid for rider patches
and will bring the receipt to the next meeting.

Membership Report:
We have 51 paid members, no new applicants.

Correspondence:
South Williamsport Post 617 is having a Golf Tournament and looking for
sponsors for $25. Motion made to sponsor a hole, 1st Larry, 2nd Willi

There was a thank you
from one of the scholarship winners, Emma Croak. State had sent us a poem by a legion member
titled “Our Land” by Franklin Richard Clymer, which was read to the members.

Old Business:
The Gold Star Family Memorial dedication was impressive with a nice turnout.
Flag placement at the cemetery was May 21 sand it took 1 ½ hours to place all 1,578 flags.

Committee Reports
Fundraising:
For the golf tournament we have 17 sponsors so far. Steve is going to look at using
White Deer Golf Club as a possible venue for next year. Rose looked into getting koozies for
door prizes for this year. The minimum to purchase is 150 with a starting price of $262.50.
Motion made to purchase 150 koozies, 1st Larry, 2nd Della
 Rose will purchase and pay for them
and be refunded at the next meeting.

Activities:
Parade is July 7th

Scholarship:
The auxiliary and SAL each donated $500 to the scholarship fund.

Public Relations:

Rides/Fun Rides:
July 16 is the Combat Vets ride. Watch FB for times. Saturday is the Elks ride,
we will leave here at 11 for anyone wanting to go along.
Sunday Larry will be doing the Renovo loop, meeting at Sheets at 10am.
June 25 is the start of the trip to Maine.
Larry Sr.’s memorial will be July 9th
at the river lot, BYOB and bring a chair.
Nadine’s graduation party will be July 10th
all day, BYOB.
Muncy is having a ride coming up. Della will talk about possibly donating at the next meeting.

Treasurer’s Report:
Read pointing out that what we brought in for the scholarship fund is less
than what we give out. We are still good for right now; however, we will need to watch future

Membership Report:
We have 51 paid members, no new applicants.

Correspondence:
The Combat Vets ride will be July 16 at the Muncy Legion.

Old Business:
The Gold Star Family Memorial dedication is May 28. Flag placement at the
cemetery is May 21 at 0900; we have 1,578 flags to place. Post cleanup was May 8.

Committee Reports
Fundraising:
For the golf tournament: we need players, door prizes, auction items, and hole
sponsors. See Steve F. for papers. This will be our 5th
annual tournament. Steve F. is going to
look into possible can koozies and will get prices for the next meeting.

Activities:
Parade is July 7th,
, forming at 5:15 with start time of 6:15. Meet at the legion at 3:30
for decorating and loading of bikes. The bikes on the trailer will be Bobby, Shawn, and Steve F.
with his Fisher’s tail. Jeff’s truck will be used to pull the trailer.

Scholarship:
Saturday, May 21 is Central Mountain virtual graduation, the check was mailed to
them. Wednesday, May 25, will be South Williamsport with Bart and Connie presenting the
scholarship. Sunday, June 5, will be Jersey Shore’s graduation at 2pm with Wes and Larry
presenting the scholarship. The scholarship winners are Eddy Danneker for Jersey Shore, Emma
Croak for Central Mountain, and Genesis Lukasiewicz for South Williamsport.

Rides/Fun Rides:
Hughesville Legion Riders Ride is July 23, registration from 10:45-11:45.
Sunday, May 22 is pictures at Marie Antoinette; Steve S. will be leaving at 8:30 for anyone who
would like to go along.
Larry’s friend, Jeffers, would like to ride. Larry will keep everyone posted on rides-looking at
Sunday at 12:30.
May 28 is the Memorial Day service and Gold Star Memorial dedication at the Lycoming
County Veterans Park; leave the legion at 10:15.
Larry will try to do a fun ride every weekend; watch the FB page for updates.
Larry Sr.’s memorial will be July 9th
at the river lot, BYOB.
Graduation party for Nadine will be July 10th, BYOB

June 4th
is the Blue Knights Ride, leaving from Muncy Legion at 11:00

June 5th
is Muncy Legion Riders ride at 11:00.

We would like to extend our gratitude to the police officers of Williamsport and
South Williamsport for blocking traffic for us on our ride May 15th
. A card will be sent out to
each department.

Endurance Organization for the 9th
Annual Clay Shoot which will be Sat., Sept
24, 2022, for PA Wounded Warriors. Bouldercrest- a thank you for our donation with an
explanation of what they do and where they are located.

Old Business:
The Bingo was a very good turnout. The Veterans Day parade is scheduled for
Jersey Shore this year. It will be going up Seminary St with the judge stand facing the legion
parking lot in front of the post.

All gun tickets are out.

Activities:

Scholarship:
S. Williamsport will me May 25 at 6:30 PM; not sure yet about Jersey Shore;
Central Mountain will be virtual; we are asked to send a check and what we want them to say.
We will review the applications on April 25 at 6 PM at the post.

Rides/Fun Rides:
May 28 is the Dedication of the Gold Star Family Memorial. Meet at the post
at 10 AM, KSU at 10:15. Fallen Soldier Ride- we discussed having a wreath for the bridge.

New Business:
Flags will be placed at the Cemetery May 21 at 9 AM.

Veteran in Need:
One veteran has not paid dues for the past two years due to job loss and
financial difficulties. Would like to remain a member. Motion made to pay 2 years dues to be up
to date 1st Steve F, 2nd Gary

 A disabled veteran is having financial difficulties due to recent
purchase of house and ran out of money in the budget. Would appreciate help with the purchase
of heating fuel to get through the winter. Motion made to purchase 200 gallons of fuel 1st Wes, 2nd Steve F
For the Good of the Order:
Stephanie’s sister is a veteran. She has been helping her sister who is
suffering with cancer. She has taken time off work to help her sister and her sister’s kids and has
been taking everything she needs to do so out of her own funds. Motion made to donate $1000 to
help her 1st Gary, 2nd Steve Win

Rob Rathburn is having a photo shoot May 22 with a chicken BBQ at Marie Antoinette Rt 6.

New Berlin is having a chicken BBQ April 9 from 11 until sold out

Della has just had a hip replacement and is doing great.

Tentative date for a ride led by Steve F. is April 9 riding to Towanda

Heroes and Horses/Horses of Hope gun bingo is April 2, doors open at 2 PM, Bingo at 4 PM.

Correspondence:
POW MIA Freedom car Tour and Awareness Campaign, looking for donations.

Old Business:
In addition to last month’s list we will have nachos and cheese by Bill, and spaghetti salad by
Coleen. Joan will be donating sauerkraut and cookies. Rip tickets are on order through the club.
Larry will try to get 5 cases of Pepsi products. Paper products of plates, bowls, nacho trays,
napkins, utensils, straws, ketchup, mustard, and relish will be picked up by Bob. Please bring
extension cords and surge protectors for the food. Nadine printed 250 bingo tickets instead of the
agreed upon 30; she will get the other 50 printed this week.

Committee Reports
Fundraising:
There are 21 books of gun tickets left in the bar. Steve F. would like to keep some
for the Fallen Soldier ride and will take some to sell at the Bingo.

Activities:
None

Scholarship:
Wes has been in touch with all 3 schools. We should have the applications
sometime in April.

Merchandise:
None

Public Relations:
Will be working on the advertisement of the Bingo. Motion to purchase an ad
in the Web Weekly with a $200 limit 1st Bob, 2nd Steve Wil.

Rides/Fun Rides:
Larry will throw some ride together when he returns from Arkansas. Bar
Harbor trip is planned for June 26 until July 3. Larry has started the process to stop on the Abe
Howard Bridge during the Fallen Soldier ride. He will let everyone know when he is going to
start the pre-ride for this ride.

New Business:
Troy ALR is having a golf tournament Sunday, May 22 at the Corey Creek Golf
Club. Motion was made to sponsor 2 holes 1st Larry, 2nd Della

Rose’s granddaughter is selling
​Girl Scout cookies. They are sending them to troops overseas. Motion was made to purchase
$100 worth, 1st Bill, 2nd Wes

Chili cookoff is Sunday Feb 20 at the Muncy Legion. Jeff will be
entering his chili. Come out and support him as he represents our Legion.

Jersey Shore, PA on January 20, 2022. The meeting convened at 7:00 pm with the Pledge of
Allegiance and roll call of officers, with 7 officers and 15 members in attendance.

Membership Report:
We have 53 members, 41 paid & 12 not paid, no new applicants.

Correspondence:
There was a Christmas card/thank you letter from the Santa House in Jersey
Shore thanking us for the donation we had made
Bouldercrest sent a Christmas card along with an envelope in case we wanted to make a donation
to them.

Old Business:
The mortgage was paid in December for the veteran in need we had at for the
December meeting.
Bingo fundraiser date must be changed, Cherrish will work on getting a date and confirm when it
is set. Shopping for the designer bags will be Gretchen, Nadine, and Cherrish and possibly Jen
Smith.

Committee Reports
Fundraising:
Tickets for the raffle are selling. Be sure to sign them out if you want some to sell.
We encourage all members to help sell the tickets.

Activities:
Food for the Bingo will be chili made by Jeff; BBQ made by Steve and Nadine with a
couple people donating some of the burger; Larry volunteered tandy cake, soda, and mac-n-
cheese; Cherrish will make chili, mac salad, and pasta salad; Della will pick up the buns (hot dog
and burger); we will purchase 6 boxes of dogs. Nadine will print 300 tickets with leftovers to be
sold at the door. Allocation for purchase of prizes will be $1,500, agreed upon by members.

Scholarship:
Wes will be contacting the schools next month.

Public Relations:
None

Rides/Fun Rides:
Nothing right now unless there is a nice day for riding. Watch our Facebook
page.

New Business:
Muncy Post 268 will be having a chili cookoff on February 20 for anyone
interested. Jeff will make his chili as a submission.

Allegiance and roll call of officers, with 6 officers and 13 members in attendance.

Correspondence:
There was a Christmas card/letter from the American Legion of PA.

Old Business:
Flag removal and wreath laying will be December 18. We have 2,00 wreaths that
will need loaded to go to the cemetery from Bald Birds starting at 0830. Beginning at 10:00 there
will be a ceremony then lay the wreaths and remove flags.
After Christmas party will be January 8. Joan will cook. Sign up is $5 each. Bring donation of
hors d’oeuvres and/or desserts. Cocktails will start at 5 pm with dinner to follow consisting of
stuffed chicken breasts and roast beef along with sides.
Bingo fundraiser tentative date for March 13. We are tabling the rest of the details until the next
meeting.
At the Santa parade we were represented by Wes. Susquehanna Big Twins took 1st 
place for motorcycles.

The donation for Hank and Shelly has not been made successfully due to not having a bill from
them to make a payment on. Motion was made to void the check and write a new one when they
can produce a bill, 1st Larry, 2nd Neil

Fundraising:
Tickets for the raffle are ready, sponsored by Toby Welker. Please sign out what
you take.

Activities:
After Christmas party- January 8.

Scholarship:
Motion was made to increase the scholarships to $1500 per recipient 1st Rose, 2nd Laurie

Merchandise:
Steve Z. will discuss t-shirts at the next meeting.

Public Relations:
None

Rides/Fun Rides:
Larry will be riding this Sunday and possibly having a Christmas Eve ride.
Keep an eye on Facebook and post if you are interested in having a ride, Larry will meet you.
We will be stopping on the bridge for the Abe Howard ride, Larry is working on getting
permission. The Gold Star Memorial dedication is not set for the date yet. We are planning on
riding to it when the date is set.
New Business:
2022 ride schedule for us is: May 15- Fallen Soldier Ride, August 5- Golf
tournament, August 21- Heroes and Horses ride, June 17- Bar Harbor making it back no later
than June 26.

Veteran in Need:
Terry Confer, father with wife and 5 children at home, has been having medical
problems preventing him from being able to work since March. He is in need of presents for his
children or help with his mortgage since he has to decide on paying mortgage or bills to keep
afloat. There has been $100 donated so far for helping the family. Any help is appreciated.
Motion made to pay his mortgage to free up money for them to purchase gifts 1st Willi, 2nd Neil

There was a thank you from Artpost Awareness with postcards. They are now

Santa parade December 4 starting at the Jersey Shore middle school.
Harger Utilities for the donation to their benefit shoot.
Santa’s Hut will be in Jersey Shore and Santa is looking for donations for gifts and decorations.

Old Business:
The Lycoming County Veterans Day Parade was a great success.
Steve Fisher’s ride did not go on October 31. He will lead one in the spring instead.
Motion was made to purchase 10 wreaths for the Wreath’s Across America, 1st - Gary, 2nd - Brian
Wreaths Across America will be laid on December 18 at the cemetery.

Fundraising:
Purchases have been made for the next raffle. We have an AR15, Savage 270, and a
crossbow purchased. A concealed carry handbag was also purchased by Steve Z. for the Bingo
fundraiser in the spring. Purchases were made at Millers Gun Shop. The date for the raffle will
be the Fallen Soldier Ride, May 15, 2022. Tickets for the raffle will be made up for the next
meeting.

After Christmas party- January 8 is a possible date.

November and December rent plus fees by tomorrow. Motion made to pay both month’s rents

Fundraising:
It is time to start looking into guns for next raffle. Motion was made to allow

 Bingo will be planned for March 2022, no date set yet. Nadine will
set up the Pampered Chef party for January. The theme was changed to Designer Bags and
Pampered Chef because of other bags besides Coach and Vera Bradley being found by Jodi,
Nadine and Cherrish when they went shopping. Nadine asked for opinions on having a concealed
carry handbag and all were in favor of purchasing one. Steve Z. suggested getting one when they
go to Millers to purchase the guns to get a good price. The fundraising committee will meet at
Millers to choose the items for the raffle and the bag for Bingo.

Activities:
Veterans Parade is November 6 in Loyalsock Township with set up starting at 11am
and parade at 2pm. Anyone going, we will be leaving the legion at 10am. Sean, Steve S, and
Larry will be putting their bikes on the float. Wes is taking his car. The SAL will be donating
$150 for candy and the Auxiliary will be donating also. Della will order more POW flags.

Scholarship:
None

Merchandise:
We need to get new merchandise to sell. Think about what you want to see so we
can discuss at future meetings.

Public Relations:
None

Rides/Fun Rides:
Sunday there will be a ride to New York leaving at 9am. NY has a helmet law
so if you are going, please be aware of the law.
October 31 Steve F. will lead a fun ride.

New Business:
Motion made to donate $100 for candy for the kids Halloween party

The flags at the cemetery will be taken down December 18, the same day the wreaths are going
to be placed.

Since Larry will not be leaving now until next summer, Sean would like to relinquish the
position of Road Captain back to Larry.

Bingo for next year will need a new location that carries a small games of chance license. We
will try for Bald Birds like last year but may need to relocate. This is something we need to work
on.

There is a WWII veteran in Arizona who just wants cards for Christmas. We made out a card to
send out to him.

Vicki and Wade from Heroes and Horses discussed hoe the ride went. They are hoping to
have buildings started “before the snow flies.” Vicki is planning on having 4 horses next year.
She is planning special events for the spouses showing support for the supporters. She presented
us with a certificate of appreciation. We questioned about seeing the new location and she said
she will be happy to show the farm.

Membership Report:
One new member applicant-Mike Flanigan. He is SAL from Avis. All in
favor of accepting them, none opposed. That makes 53 members.

Old Business:
Discussed the Heroes and Horses ride. Keep in mind that we need rider members
to help with cleanup after rides or events.

Correspondence:
There was a thank you card from Heroes and Horses. We received information
from Artpost Awareness who work with veterans in Williamsport, Lock Haven, and S.
Williamsport. They are looking for donations to keep them running. Motion was made by Rose
to donate $500, 2nd Della.
 The PA American Legion is having a Legion College for any member
who would like to sign up. It is November 6 with signup by October 16 and the cost is $20. POW
MIA Remembrance is September 17.
Brian Bilbay was in an accident. Bill Fuller, Sr., was down and out for a while. Bill’s wife, Ethel,
is not doing well at all. Keep them all in your thoughts.

volunteered to pull the float.

September 26 is the new date for the Mission BBQ and Ft. Indiantown Gap
ride. Leaving the legion no later than 10 am.
October 31 Steve F. will be able to ride again and would like to have a fun ride.
New Business:
Larry has resigned as Road Captain. He is planning on leaving the area
November 4. Sean Norman has volunteered to take over and Jeff appointed him to the position.
Heroes and Horse will do a meet and greet for us to see the new farm. October 10 was decided
upon. Will check with Vicki to make sure that is a good day.
Steve Smeltzer wanted to discuss a donation to Larry Sr. His airfare was $821.60 for him and
Mrs. Jenny Smith to fly him home. He is on Hospice and has no medical bills. Jenny quit her job
to take care of him and he is trying to pay her for doing so. Motion was made to donate $1000 to
Larry Sr. to help with expenses, 1st Rose, 2nd Della.

Bill E.’s uncle is not doing well. He can’t walk very far. He is asking for a lift chair to help him.
Motion was made to purchase a lift chair for him, 1st Wes, 2nd Neil

Veteran in Need:
A veteran in Jersey Shore is in need of a stair lift. Larry knows someone
wanting to donate one. We will check into it and see if this is an option.

For the Good of the Order:
There will be a setback tournament September 26.
October 23 is an adult Halloween party. November 14 there will be a pool tournament. The
auxiliary will be having breakfast this Sunday from 9-11. There will be a chili cookoff October 2
with sign-ups at the bar.

is Auxiliary. All in favor of accepting them, none opposed.

Larry handed out and discussed the route for this weekend’s ride.

Correspondence:
There will be a 10th
annual Harger Utilities Sporting Clay Tournament on
September 11 at Middlebury Center, PA benefitting William “Bo” Hagaman of Lock Haven.
Also, Bestline Equipment and McCrossin is sponsoring Endurance Organization’s 7th annual
Clayshoot benefiting PA Wounded Warriors.

Steve and Rose read off the golf tournament report. We did well but a few costs
were raised from last year. We discussed raising the entry fee for next year to make up for that
deficit

Bill has contacted WILQ and WSQV for the advertising of the Steel Horses for
Real Horses Ride.

Rides/Fun Rides:
The H&H ride is Sunday. The 9/11 ride is at 3pm in Montgomery. Anyone
wanting to go meet at 1:30 at the legion and they will head over from there.

New Business:
Larry will be stepping down after the 9/11 ride. He will be passing the reigns to
Sean Norman to take over since he will be leaving the area sooner than expected. His dad wants
to go home. Sean will be stepping up as Road Captain and Fun Ride Guy.
Larry will be sending care packages to Marcus. If you would like to make anything to send,
bring it in on Sunday.
We need new ideas for merchandise. This is tabled until next meeting to give everyone time to
think of any merchandise you may want to see.

There will be a bridge dedication off the McElhattan exit in honor of
Petty Officer Steve Toboz, Jr. on August 28 at 1pm. Everyone is welcome to attend.
There will be a concert, Rocking the Monument, at the Community Arts Center with
performances by Bart Howard and The Mountain Road Band on September 18 at 7:30 pm.
Proceeds go to the Gold Star Families Memorial Monument.

Vicki and Wade from Heroes and Horses discussed the new H&H home. The building,
which will ne named Freedom Hall, has been paid in full. They are now waiting for permission
to place it on the ground in Woolrich. Some of the trees donated by Lisa in memory of Glenn
have been healed, the rest will be done soon. They will have t-shirts and patches at the ride. They
are planning on having horses to lead the ride again. Steve F. suggested that channel 16 news be
contacted to show up for the ride. We will have hamburgers and hotdogs provided by the Riders.
H&H will do the sides, Chinese auction, and stops.

Membership Report:
Membership is 50 members.

Old Business:
The parade on July 8 was a great success. Steve and Rose want to thank those who
helped with getting the furniture moved for them.

Fundraising:
The Golf tournament will be Monday, August 16. We are still looking for hole
sponsors and teams. Door prizes and raffles are still needed. Steve F. will look into getting a gun
for the raffle with a price rage of $250-350. We decided to let him use his best judgement in the
choice of gun.

All 3 recipients of the scholarships sent thank you notes to us.

Public Relations:
Bill will take care of the advertising needed for upcoming fundraisers. He has a
gift certificate for the BEAR which he will give to Vicki for any advertising she wants done.

Rides/Fun Rides:
The trip to Harrisburg to Mission BBQ, Ft. Indiantown Gap, and the Legion
there did not materialize and is not good this month, but we will plan again for September. July
24 there will be a ride for Pav Wounded Warriors from Hughesville. Anyone wanting to go will
meet at JS Legion for departure at 10:30am. Larry will be doing a send-off for his dad, who is
currently visiting. Meet outback next Saturday, July 23 around 5-6 pm. Watch for notices for any
other rides.
New Business:
Jeff will not be at the next meeting, so Wayne will be in control. The canvases
that were made will be given to them when we see them next. Steve S. presented Lisa with a
plaque he made in memory of Glenn.

Veteran in Need:
None

Communications:
Valor Clinic and Team would like veterans’ groups to ride to Harrisburg on
September 18, 2021 for a Keep the Alive Ride and Rally. This is to help voice concern to the
State to do more to help prevent Veteran suicide. The first speaker is at noon that day.

Tammy Pedigree, the Wellness and Program Director of the Jersey Shore YMCA
presented to talk about their 5k/10k ruck march coming up Saturday June 26. Anyone who can
make it, please show up at the middle school at 0730 with bikes for the ceremony. All proceeds
go to their annual campaign where they offer free fitness and mental health for everyone in the
Vetstrong program. The Vetstrong is a 12 week free program for all active duty and veteran
military members that is run through the YMCA in Jersey Shore.

Membership Report:
Membership is 49 members.

Old Business:
The Fallen Soldier Ride was a great success. Thank you everyone for making it
successful.
The Spoker Run was a good turnout.
We have t-shirts for sale.
The flag placement went well with over 1500 flags places in less than one hour.

The gun raffle brought in a nice profit for the Riders.
Golf tournament will be Monday, August 16. We are still looking for hole sponsors and teams.

Activities:
July 8 is the parade with a start time of 6-6:15. We need to be at Bastress St. 5:15 or
earlier. We need decorations and people to help decorate, be at the legion around 3 to help. Neil
will tow the trailer and bikes will be Jeff, Steve, and possibly Larry.

Scholarship:
Jersey Shore got back to Wes and he was able to present the scholarship in person.

T shirts are here and for sale.

Public Relations:

Rides/Fun Rides:
Around the third week in July, a trip to Harrisburg to Mission BBQ, Ft.
Indiantown Gap, and the Legion there. Watch for notices.

New Business:
Hank and Shelly Henry had come out to support our Fallen Soldier ride. They
were involved in an accident. Motion was made to donate $1000 to their medical fund

The veterans home still does not want visitors for Christmas in July. Motion was made to donate

The SAL donated hole sponsor and flags for parade.
Hole sponsors cost us $25 for regular sign, it is more for a logo sign. We voted to keep the signs
secure for repeat sponsors

The Cadillac Cats are looking for donations of door prize baskets for fundraiser.
Steve F. needs help to move a couch Saturday morning at 0900 for anyone able to assist.

Membership Report:
Since sending membership sent to state four more people paid making it 48
paid members. One application this meeting, Bob Sanso, with motion to approve. Membership is

Old Business:
The birthday celebration for Don Koons was a successful fun day. Motion was
made to donate $500 to Factory Works for the veterans woodshop 1st Rose, 2nd Barb

Thank you, Larry and Wes, for going to the Regional meeting. Take-aways from the meeting are
that we do not mention “Dice” or “Poker” on our posters or in the advertising and to announce
that the “ride is now officially over” when the last rider arrives at the final destination. Also,
there was a reminder to do consolidated reports.
T-shirts are here and for sale.
Backyard Broadcasting did an interview with Jeff about Lance Corporal Abe Howard and the
Fallen Soldier Ride. It will be on the radio Sunday as well as their website.
Muncy will be providing sides. We will get 5 boxes of each burgers and hotdogs, 300 burger
buns and 200 dog buns. Joan will be making pulled pork. Motion was made and approved to pay
Joan $300. Jeff is checking on paper products. We need people to stay at the end to clean up
afterwards. Meet at the Legion at 0900. Stops will be covered: Rauchtown Inn-Ed, Randy, and
Beth; Trail Inn-Amy and Barb; Pier 87-Bill and Inger; Muncy-Jeff and Rose.
The Auxiliary donated 2 cases of Pepsi for our use.

Committee Reports
Fundraising:
Any leftover gun tickets will be for sale at the ride.
Golf tournament cannot be held on a Saturday as planned. We can do Monday, August 16.
Saturday and Sunday tournaments are by the club only. The decision was made to hold it August
5, 2022 for next year. We will keep the food the same as we had the last couple years. If you gave
out any flyers, please make sure to the change the date as well as informing anyone who has
signed up. Patches for Glenn are done and available for purchase.
Activities:
June 26 will be a birthday party for Wes. He asked everyone to not bring any presents,
just bring a dish to share and enjoy the day.
Scholarship:
Selection of the winners has been made. They are: S. Williamsport- Liviya Noltee
to be presented May 26 at 6:30; Central Mountain-Chase Kimbal to be mailed with any
comments; and Jersey Shore- Raven Windecker with no instructions on what they are doing at
this time.
Merchandise:
T shirts are here and for sale.
Public Relations:
The band for the ride, Last Rebels Southern Rock, will begin around 3pm.
Information has been put out about the ride and has been advertised.
Rides/Fun Rides:
May 29 there will be a ride to the dedication of Lycoming County Veterans
Memorial on Wahoo Drive. Leaving the legion at 10:15 for anyone interested in going.
June 6 Hughesville Legion Riders will be participating in “Spoker Run.” We will support
Hughesville in this ride.
New Business:
May 29 will be flag placement at the Jersey Shore cemetery starting at 0800.
Memorial Day services on May 31 will begin on the bridge at 0600 for the Burial at Sea, 0700 at
the Legion, 0800 at the VFW, and 0900 at the cemetery.
Starting May 22, the Legion will become a non-smoking establishment.
Steve Smeltzer made a plaque for Lisa and will be finishing it to present to her in memory of
Glenn. Lisa needs help with lawn care. We will get together tomorrow at 3pm to help her.

Membership sent to state for 44 paid members. No new members this month

Old Business:
The Bingo was a great success with 200 players. There will be a birthday
celebration for Don Koons, who will be turning 100, at the Williamsport Community Woodshop
on Saturday, May 8. Muncy Legion will be doing dogs and burgers. The auxiliary will make
coleslaw. The location is at the old Pajama Factory on the corner of Rose and Memorial Ave. in
Williamsport.
T-shirts to be ordered will be the original logo. There are 5 colors American made at a cost of
approximately $13 each. We will sell them for $18 each. We must order 96 for that price.
Discussion was to order 6 small, 20 medium, 30 large, 35 XL, and 9 XXL to make 100 shirts.

Larry and Wes will be going to Center Hall April 25 for meeting with ALR State Director for
anyone wanting to join them.

Fundraising:
Gun tickets are at the bar to sign out. They need to be returned at the next meeting.
Golf applications and flyers may be picked up from Steve F. The tournament will be August 14.
Please take flyers to distribute. Patches for Glenn are being made, Steve F. will pick them up
when done.

Scholarship:
Applications are due May 1st

. We will get together at Wes and Della’s on May 2 at
1pm. Meet at the Legion to leave around 12:30 for anyone interested in selecting the winners.

The band for the Fallen Soldier Run will be Last Rebels Southern Rock. Bill
will be contacting The Record as well as some radio stations and Nadine will send information to
“What’s Happening in Clinton County.”

New Business:
The pavilion at Muncy Legion is reserved for the Fallen Soldier Scholarship Run.
We will have burgers and dogs and will ask Joan to make pulled pork. Muncy will make the
sides of baked beans and potato salad. Since the next scheduled meeting is May 20, we decided
to change it to May 13 to finalize discussions on the ride. The road captain is not present to
discuss the route with us today but will go over it at the next meeting.
Memorial Day services on May 31 are a go for this year and will begin on the bridge at 0600 for
the Burial at Sea.
Jeff ordered 1686 flags to be placed in the cemetery with flag placement on May 29.

Rides/Fun Rides:
Soldiers of Law Memorial Ride is April 24. The route for the Fallen Soldier
Ride is made and will end in Muncy.

New Business:
Dave Hochslein, the ALR State Director, will be at the Center Hall Legion on
April 25 at 1300 for a meeting. Region 4 is looking for a new director
Christmas in July was brought up. The SAL will keep us posted on what they decide to do this
year.
Visitation for Glenn Royer will be at the Walker Funeral Home on Thursday from 1600-1900.
We will meet at JS Legion at 1730 to ride there. Monetary donation can be made to the Legion
Riders, PA Wounded Warriors, or Heroes and Horses. Rose motioned a donation of a dish garden
with no objections. A donation of $500 for Heroes & Horses in loving memory of our fallen
brother, Glenn Royer, was made 1st Larry - 2nd Rose
 Motion was made for a patch for Glenn 1st Steve F - 2nd Wayne
 Rose will draw it up and will contact PAMP for 100 patches.
We need all new officer pins to be ordered. Nadine will look into getting them.

Guests:
Mike Koons from Post 268. He goes to Williamsport Community Workshop, which is a
woodshop that is open 7 days a week. There is a WWII veteran who goes there who will be
turning 100 in May. He was in the Army Air Corps from 1942-1945. They would like a helping
hand with lunch for approx. 200 people. It is located on the corner of Memorial and Rose Streets
in Williamsport. The celebration will be from 10-1 and we should be there around 9am to help
cook and bring a side dish. Post 268 will provide burgers and the hotdogs are being donated.

us on the side dishes to see if they need help with any.
Membership Report:
Sue is not renewing her rider membership for this year. Nadine and
Cherrish will take over the member position. Membership is 49 members.
Old Business:
The summit meeting was cancelled. There will be no summit calendar this year.
Last year Christmas in July was monetary donations only and the money was given to the
residence. We will discuss what we are going to do this year as the SAL comes up with their
ideas.
Larry had mentioned a possible ride for the Gold Star Memorial. The dedication is scheduled to
be the last Sunday in September. He suggested we make a ride of it and make a donation during
the ride.
As discussed previously, the computer is outdated and needs to be replaced. Nadine looked at
prices and the average for a decent computer was around $500. Motion to allow $500 for the
purchase of a new computer for the Riders 1st Steve W - 2nd Della

New Business:
The Bingo fundraiser is our next event, March 21. All tickets have been sold. We
need at least 2 people to take tickets at the door, hand out the Bingo card packs, and sell extra
packs and daubers. We need at least another 2 people to sell Chinese auction tickets, Special
raffle tickets, 50/50 tickets, and gun raffle tickets. The food will be a roaster pan of hot dogs
which will be 3 boxes of 40 dogs, Jeff will do chili, Steve & Nadine will do 6lb sloppy joes,
Della will also make some, Della will get buns, Joan will donate cookies. Other items will be
mac-n-cheese, sauerkraut, and nachos. Bill volunteered to operate the Bingo game on the
computer. We will need a few people to sell rip tickets and verify Bingos.
June 18 until 26 or 27 Larry is planning a ride to Skyline Drive, Tail of the Dragon, and
Blueridge. Larry will give more details at future dates.
Soldiers of Law ride is April 24 with registration from 9-11. It will start at the State Police
academy. Registration is due by April 9, Larry will bring forms to the next meeting
June 6 there is a ride of 7 Legions that will end at Morganville Legion. Donation is gift baskets;
we will bring 3 baskets and support Hughesville Legion.
We received a letter asking for sponsorship in the Legion golf tournament. It is $25 and will be
displayed for the weekend of the tournament. Motion to sponsor 1st Larry - 2nd Wayne

Veteran in Need:
Lenny Carson lost his wife in December. He has an outstanding lifeflight bill of
$250 after insurance paid. Motion to pay it for him 1st Larry - 2nd Wes

Communications:
Blue Star Mothers of America sent a thank you for the wreath support.
Bouldercrest sent a thank you for the donation of $250.

Gun raffle tickets are behind the bar. There has been $416.00 turned in so far.
The Toys For Tots raffle made $394 for us to donate to them.
Steve F. is working on donations for the Golf tournament. Nadine will check with Bill’s Happy
Camper this summer for a possible donation from them. Tom Hinneman donated three handmade
cutting boards for golf tournament prizes. Small towels were discussed. There are left over door
prizes from last year to be used also.

Activities:
Bingo is our next event. In preparation, we are hosting a Pampered Chef party going
on right now until Jan 24. The host products at the end of the party will all go to Bingo prizes.
Nadine will look into where to have the Bingo this year. It was at the Red Eye Center last year
and a suggestion was made to check Bald Birds Brewing as another possibility.

Bart brought up that Cathy Brooks is in need at the November meeting. He was
not at this meeting, so this will be tabled until he gets us more information.

The Gold Star Family Memorial Monument sent us a thank you card for the
donation. Boulder Crest sent a Christmas card along with a donation envelope. Motion made to

Vicky Hancock from Heroes and Horses. Vicky donated Heroes and Horses patches to
Post 36 Legion Riders. The point of contact for the program is Eric Moon at (570)279-7769. We
have an open invitation to come to H&H anytime, whether it is with problems or just to hang out.
They have a new support team and mentor program. H&H is partnering with Don Coke to do
trail rides. H&H now own their forever home, they have signed the deed.
Second guest is Denny Norman with Bart and Connie Howard. Dennis is a marine vet. He
brought in a flyer on Gold Star Families Memorial Monument. It is 15 feet long and 7 feet high
made of solid granite. Connie and Bart spoke about new beer “Fallen” names of fallen soldiers
on cans. Abe Howard and Mike Koch are going to be on the next batch. The beer is an “IPA” and
$1 of each 4 pack goes to the memorial. There are only 2 other memorial in the state, Valley
Forge and 1 other (Washington Crossing in Newtown, PA). The new memorial is going in to
Veterans Park in Williamsport. The approximate total cost is $75,000. The goal is to unveil the
last sunder in September. September 26, 2021.
Membership Report:
Membership is 48 members.
Old Business:
The Lycoming County Veterans parade went well. November 14th

1,578 flags were
removed from the cemetery. Thank you to all who helped, even Larry who was hung-over.

of officers to determine quantity to be ordered. Probably no small and some larger (2X & 3X)

Old Business:
The Lycoming County Veterans parade will be Nov 7. It is requested that no more
than 15 people attend from our group. We are not allowed to pass out candy nor anything else.
There will be no review stand, ribbons or prizes this year and no memorial service after the
parade. You must wear a mask if you cannot social distance. We need to know who all will be
going, to be determined at October meeting. We will meet at McCall middle school at 9:30am.
Those going will meet in Jersey Shore at 8:30am with the parade starting at 10. Further
discussion at October meeting.
The thank-you card was sent to the Axillary for the donation for the Fallen Soldier Ride.
The gift card made it to the family with great appreciation, Fungi notified the school of the help
needed for the daughter.
Bob loves his new chair.
New Business:
The owner of the Oval Country Store (Rich) donated $100 to the H&H and $50
to the Golf fundraiser. The Lycoming County Veterans Parade will be in Montoursville on
November 7. We will discuss this at the next two meetings.
Committee Reports
Fundraising:
Last year we spent $1500 on the gun raffle. This year we decided on the popular
rifle of the year, an AR, and a handgun. Steve F. will talk to Mike and see what the prices would
be. Fungi motioned to allow $2,000. Steve will work on getting the best deal possible and try to
stay under that amount. We will again purchase 2000 tickets. DL will talk to Tobi Welker about
sponsoring the tickets. The drawing will be at the Fallen Soldier Ride. We are looking at dates
for the Golf next year, possibly a Saturday at the beginning to middle of August, and a Sunday
later in August for the Heroes and Horses ride.
Activities:
For the Christmas dinner we are looking at possibly the Saturday after New Year’s.
We will discuss further at future meeting.

The t-shirts will be tabled until next meeting. We have two names of possible

Fun Rides:
There will be a ride Saturday September 19 going to Maryland leaving at 9am from
the Sheetz on Maynard St. Plan for 13 hours. Then Sunday, September 20 ride to Morris for
drinks and Cedar Run for ice cream along with some other stops.
October 10 Tobi’s daughter, Abby, would like a birthday party support for a little boy who loves
motorcycles. We will sing happy birthday and rev our motors, meet at the Legion at 4:30pm then
end at the DQ in Avis.
Veteran in Need:
Veteran, Sandra Watkins, passed away two years ago She served from October
1964 until April 1966. Her husband, also a veteran, passed away many years ago. They had no
children and her brother is attempting to bury their remains. She had no life insurance and her
brother paid $3655 of his own money for the cremation services. The total bill was $1398, and he
has acquired all but $448. Motion made to pay the remainder of the bill 1st - Steve F, 2nd - Steve W
The money will be paid to the Jersey Shore Cemetery.

A recap of the Special Meeting last week, the chair we were going to purchase was no longer
available. The officers made a decision to get one from Beiter’s and have it delivered on his
birthday tomorrow. Don’t forget about breakfast to celebrate his birthday tomorrow at the Shore
Diner at 7am.
Paul Manning is looking for clothing appropriate for this time of year as well as school supplies.
Fungi stated that the school will provide supplies to children who need them and he will get the
message to the school so they can help her with that. A motion was made to purchase a Kohl’s

lead the ride out Seminary St to Main St, then left on Main St as far as Sweitzers where they will

We will have burgers and dogs. Steve Willits will do the cooking on his event grill.
Membership Report:
We have one person apply for membership this month: Gerald Bates. He is

Old Business
The parade that was to be July 23 was cancelled. The Heroes and Horses ride will
be this weekend meeting at the Legion at 8:30 am for set up with registration set for 9:30 to
11:30. The route will be to leave the legion to 220, then 64 to 144 to Pleasant Gap Legion, then
144 to 45 to 455 to 192 to 880 Middle Rd to 44S to 654 to Nippenose Tavern then back to JS
Legion. Millheim Legion is closed so that will not be a stop. Participants will have to make an
extra roll at another stop. The auxiliary will be selling breakfast that morning. After ride meal
will be around 3:30. We will have 3 boxes each of dogs and burgers. Della will get the buns.

The owner of the Oval Country Store (Rich) donated $100 to the H&H and $50
to the Golf fundraiser. The Lycoming County Veterans Parade will be in Montoursville on
November 7. We will discuss this at the next two meetings. On 9/11, we will have our own ride,
probably do the ride as a backwards route. The veteran we were going to donate a chair to in
June, Marlin Brown, is no longer in need of chair as of the time we were looking into purchasing
it. He is now declining and has been placed into a home.

The Fallen Soldier raffle went well. We would like to get started on the raffle for
next year in October allowing us more time to sell tickets. We will discuss this at the September
meeting to have tickets printed and ready in October.

Guests:
Thelma Hunter from Veteran’s Multi-Service Center in Lock Haven. She discussed their
mission to assist homeless veterans in helping them to find housing and assisting in basic
furniture for them. This is a resource who may be in touch with us when needed. Second guest
was Vicki Hancock from Heroes and Horses and guest who talked about their program and how
it helps veterans. Also present were two potential new members, Jeremy and Jamie Evans.
Membership Report:
Membership stands at 47 members.
Old Business
The parade will be July 23 with a new route from the regular being in place. We
will meet at the legion between 3-3:30 to prepare and line up at 5:15 on Bastress Street to go
down Locust to Thompkins St to the field. Glenn will have his trike on the trailer along with
Jeff’s and Shawn’s bikes. We will be using Neil’s truck and Jeff’s trailer.
The Fallen Soldier ride will be July 26 going from Jersey Shore Legion to Muncy Legion. They
will be providing us with baked beans and another surprise side dish. We will pay for their
expenses. Bill Engle is trying to throw the entertainment together since the other two options
backed out. A grill will be provided. Della will be getting the buns.
New Business:
Joe Bailey has stepped down from the position of Chaplain. Steve Smeltzer will
assume the Chaplain position.
Heroes and Horses have 30 veterans registered who they are helping. They are in the process of
moving to a new location in September or October. The ride for the benefit or Heroes and Horses
will be August 23, 2020. The route will be to leave the legion making our way to 64 to Center
Hall Legion, then 144 to 45 to Millheim Legion, then 455 to 192 to Rebersburg to Rauchtown to
Nippenose Tavern then back to JS Legion. Vicki would like to have the horses lead the ride and
will work on necessary arrangements to see if she can do that. There will be a Chinese Auction,
raffle, sides, and dessert.
The Golf Tournament will be August 31. We have 11 teams signed up and would like a couple
more. We have some prizes and still getting more. So far there are 25 hole sponsors where we are
looking to get 36.

raffle off 5 books the day of the Fallen Soldier Ride.

Secretary’s Report:  The Secretary’s report for the regular meeting from June 20, 2019 was read and approved.  Motion to accept report as read: 1st Joe, 2nd Larry; motion passed unanimously.

 

Guest Presentation: Presentation was made regarding the Heroes and Horses Charity Ride.  H/H staff will man the stops.  Stops are Cross Roads, Wagon Wheel, Mt Top, JSAL. 

ALR will provide hot dogs and burgers.  H/H staff will provide side dishes.  Registration will begin at 0930-1130.  Unstructured ride. 

 

Treasurer’s Report:  Read and approved.  Motion to accept report as read 1st  Gary, 2nd Steve, passed unanimously.

New Flag stand for float, Monkey Boy and Wes will take care of that.

 

Special Meeting was held July 28, 2019 to vote on  $2000.00 Loan for Charlie Kline, for the final cost of getting his bathroom handicap accessible.  Passed,

Presentation:  Heroes and Horses Video was shown.  Information regarding the video and the program was provided by Vicky Hancock following the video.  Heroes and Horses has 28 clients and functions totally on donations. 

The June 8, 2019 Heroes and Horses Ride was discussed:  Terry has the route planned, Bill has PR through 92.1 radio station. 

 

Treasurer’s Report:  Read and approved.  Motion to accept report as read 1st  Rose, 2nd Larry, passed unanimously.   There were no outstanding bills.

Secretary’s Report:  The Secretary’s report for the regular meeting from October 18, 2018, was read and approved.  Motion to accept report as read: 1st Della, 2nd Wes; motion passed unanimously.

 

Treasurer’s Report:  Read and approved.  There were outstanding bills to M. Duda $26.58, K. Engel $59.34 and D. McCracken $222.35.  Motion to accept report as read and pay the outstanding bills: 1st Terry, 2nd Carl; motion passes unanimously.

Old Business:  20 strong ride raised over $8000.00

Rider’s Dues are to be paid at the December Meeting.  All Rider’s are responsible for insuring their Post Dues are paid.

 

New Business: Fallen, Not Forgotten presentation will be held at the Lockhaven Elks.  It is being presented by the VFW, VA Rep. Office.

Terry made a motion to donate $500.00 to the VA Benefit Center in Lockhaven.  2nd by Carl.  Motioned passed.

D.L. – The ALR website needs refunding after the first of the new year.  The cost is $29.00 for 1 year, $14.00 per year for 10 years.  Question was asked regarding the cost for 5 years.  This was tabled until more information could be obtained.

Guest Jason Thompson informed us of Sgt At Arms, Donnie Thompson’s status.  Also provided information regarding two fund raising events 1. A Pool Tournament at the Moose and 2. A Poker Tournament in Williamsport.  Corporate sponsors will match the donations generated from the events.  Motion to facilitate the fund raising effort 1st Rose, 2nd Lisa motion passed unanimously.  Motion to donate $1000 to the effort was 1st Wes, 2nd Terry.  This money was to be donated to the pool tournament.  Passed unanimously.

 

A motion was made to donate $500 to Veteran Slugger Bower, he has a bad heart, 1st Terry, 2nd Joe.  Motion passed unanimously.

 

 

Old Business:  1. The 20 Strong ride was finalized: Breakfast at 0700-1100, $10 all you can eat.  0700 Glenn and Jeff start selling tickets.  1200 Kick stands up.  1600 Meal and Chinese Auction.

 

Carol Mann Patches are being prepared.  40 patches are being ordered.

 

 

New Business: 1. Lycoming County Vet Memorial Donation.  It will cost $4000 to buy the whole monument, Suggested ALR donate $500 if Post 36 is going to buy the whole monument.

Note:  During the 20 Strong Ride it was understood the ALR had no determined the amount they would donate to the Leon Family.  A meeting was quickly arranged to set an amount.  Motion to donate $500 was 1st Wes 2nd Steve.  Motion carried unanimously.
